Small Update and Updates Ahead


Just released a small update that I have been working on for the past few days but wasn't fully done yet.

I added Two new weapons, The Shock Wave and Laser Beam - both are shown in the attached images.

the shockwave deals 5 damage to all enemies in a decently large range around you but has a 20 second cooldown and isnt unlocked till level 10 (I may have forgotten to set the unlock level though) 

the Laser beam deals 1.5 damage per second to enemies in its range and is unlocked at level 8

both of these weapons were made using shaders. Adding two higher level weapons helps give players more to work towards later in the game.

speaking of later in the game, I also added a second group of levels, bringing the total from 5 to ten, but no boss fight this time. normal levels are pretty easy to make but boss fights take longer, especially for graphics and audio, and don't add much content to the game.

other smaller changes include changing the text color on some screens inside levels, to make them easier to see, and on the second level of dash you gain invulnerability while dashing. The second upgrade felt pretty pointless before but this edition makes it feel a little more worth wile.

Many many bugs were patched. 

The next updates I have planned are:

- weapon upgrades (allows you to upgrade weapons the same way as you can for the turret and engine right now)

- npcs that will visit your rocket and sell upgrades (this will include something like a wizard who will sell you a burning/freezing aura

So far I'm about a month or two into my first game and its been going great so far! I have lots of updates planned and just have to work on getting them coded.
